FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   Drawing inspiration from the legendary Dark Souls series, Deathbound introduces a revolutionary combat mechanic called Morphing. This system allows players to seamlessly switch between different characters, or "Essences," mid-combat, unleashing devastating Morphstrikes and Morph-Dodges. This dynamic feature demands quick thinking and adaptability, creating a fast-paced and challenging experience that stands out from other titles in the genre.

“We’ve designed Deathbound to push players to their limits, offering a truly engaging and fresh approach to soulslike combat, said Ítalo Nievinski Game Director at Trialforge Studio. The Morphing mechanic adds an extra layer of strategy that ensures every battle is unpredictable and intense.”

Party Building and Customization
In Deathbound, players absorb the Essences of fallen warriors, each with unique skills and abilities, allowing for a wide range of playstyles. Up to four Essences can be bound to a player’s party, and combat is enhanced by a shared Skill Tree that evolves as new Essences are added. This design enables players to focus on developing their combat strategies without the burden of levelling up each character individually.

Strategic Depth and Tactical Synergies
The personalities and backgrounds of the fallen warriors play a crucial role in Deathbound. Their unique interactions, based on differing ideals and morals, can create synergies or conflicts, influencing their performance in battle. Players must carefully manage these dynamics to maximize bonuses and minimize penalties, adding a tactical decision-making element to party management.

Capoeira – A Cultural Combat Flair
Deathbound also proudly incorporates elements of Capoeira, a traditional Brazilian martial art, into its combat system. This distinctive fighting style not only enriches gameplay with its fluid and rhythmic movements but also pays homage to Brazil’s cultural heritage.

“As a Brazilian, I wanted to celebrate Capoeira and the resilience of our people. It brings a unique flavor to Deathbound, resonating with players across the world” - added Ítalo Nievinski.

Deathbound, the dynamic single-player party-based souls-like from Brazilian indie developer Trialforge Studio, was released on August 8th and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
