Kamikaze Tactics, a roguelike turn-based tactics dogfighting game now has a Playtest Demo available for Steam's Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Fest. It will provide players with a basic encounter to feel out the gameplay loop and get a feel for a aerial tactics maneuvering.

Additionally, we are timing this release with the launch of our first Gameplay Trailer on 9/16 at 10AM EST on Youtube @ https://youtu.be/QSn78L69QRQ. If you are reading this before it is live, it is also available on the Steam page, linked below.

This Playtest Demo is intended as a teaser for a main Demo launch, targeted currently for release in mid December of 2024. Players can look forward to multiplayer, a sneak peak at the progression & mission selections, as well as more variety in the ships and weaponry.

Key Game Features:

  • Turn-Based Dogfighting: Engage in intense, turn-based aerial combat where every maneuver counts.

  • Roguelike Progression: Experience dynamic, procedurally generated missions with permadeath, making each playthrough a fresh challenge.

  • Squadron Management: Build and command a team of elite pilots, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles.

  • Customization: Outfit your ships with a wide array of weapons and upgrades to tailor your tactics to each mission. But be careful -- resources are limited!

As a solo developer, reach is always on my mind. I’d be incredibly grateful if you could share this news with your audience. If you’re interested in trying out the game, I’d be happy to provide early access or additional materials.
