Games Bavaria :

Munich, August 5, 2024 – This year, Games/Bavaria will once again bring Bavaria's gaming diversity to the big stage at gamescom, the world's largest visitor trade fair for consumer electronics. From August 21 to 25, a total of 12 studios from all corners of Bavaria will be presenting their projects. These include highlights such as the dungeon crawler Dungeons of Dreadrock 2, the indie development sim The Games You Make and the detective RPG Inspector Schmidt – The Ebbing. Most of the games can be tried out at the Indie Arena Booth and in the Home of Indies Booth in Hall 10.2. A selection of VR games from Bavaria will also be presented exclusively for trade visitors in Hall 4.1.

Anyone who has always wanted to know what life as an indie developer is like should definitely check out The Games You Make: In the development sim from Munich-based studio Jumpy Bit, players program their own games, which they can then share with friends. However, they must not neglect their social life in the process. The Games You Make can be played for the first time at gamescom!

A more classic survival experience can be found in Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 by solo developer Christoph Minnameier. The sequel to the winner of the 2023 German Computer Game Award for Best Mobile Game offers 100 new levels, five powerful bosses to conquer and an incredibly addicting gameplay loop. Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 is playable for the first time at gamescom 2024!

Inspector Schmidt is investigating again at gamescom: In the sequel to the Bavarian detective RPG A Bavarian Tale, which is once again being developed by Active Fungus Studios and is subtitled The Ebbing, this time the investigator is sent to the far north, where he becomes involved in a brutal murder case. At first, suspicion even falls on himself. Will the inspector succeed in proving his innocence and uncovering the dark secrets of the secretive community of Havstedt? The brand new demo of Inspector Schmidt – The Ebbing will be playable for the first time at gamescom!

In addition to these three top-class games, Games/Bavaria has numerous other highlights in store that can be played in Hall 10.2. The titles from the Bavarian studios can be recognized by the Games/Bavaria logo, which can be found at the respective stands.
