Dallas, TX –January 18, 2021– Thanks to the support of 352 backers, independent game publishers The Retro Room Games exceeded their goal of $7,500 and raised $21,222 to fully fund the production of Elland: The Crystal Wars on Kickstarter.
Elland: The Crystal Wars achieved its first stretch goal and would now produce a short documentary film featuring the original developers along with the new team.
Elland: The Crystal Wars is a reincarnation of a cancelled game in the early 2000’s. Formerly known as Dune: Ornithopter Assault the game was developed by Soft Brigade and owned by Cryo Interactive.
After 20 years, Elland: The Crystal Wars, has dropped the Dune IP and is getting the much awaited physical release which includes a cartridge, box and an instruction booklet.
In Elland: The Crystal Wars, players must defeat the aggressive Trafford, who seized the resources of the planet and used them for evil purposes.
The game is set in a harsh desert world on the outskirts of the galaxy and takes you on adventure-packed missions to defeat Trafford. Throw high damage bombs, long-range missiles, and unlimited ammo of Grays Cannon to defeat the enemy.
