LONDON (Sept. 26, 2024) - At the Convergence Games Showcase, Juhana Myllys, artist and designer of Bionic Bay, unveiled an exciting new trailer for the visually stunning pixel art game. Alongside the trailer, developers Mureena and Psychoflow Studio announced their partnership with Kepler Interactive, who will publish the highly anticipated indie title. Set in an ancient biomechanical world teeming with imaginative technology and deadly traps, Bionic Bay is available to wishlist now on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, will launch in 2025 and combines meticulously detailed pixel art with tight platforming and chaotic physics-based gameplay.

The new trailer is available to watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTafYBNP_g8

Bionic Bay's art is crafted with remarkable precision, as highlighted in the trailer, which showcases a tree made up of over 250,000 pixels and an awe-inspiring mechanical hand featuring more than 1 million pixels. The result is a breathtaking retro-futuristic biomechanical world unlike anything seen before in gaming.

Bionic Bay’s distinctive visual style is matched by its innovative gameplay, with handcrafted levels bursting with creativity. At its core is the unique swap mechanic, offering players a fresh way to move, defend and attack.

For those keen to learn more, Juhana will be sharing a more in-depth look at the swap mechanic and in-game physics on his X channel this month. Make sure you’re following Juhana here and the official Bionic Bay X account here for this and future behind the scenes insights into the incredible pixel-perfect platformer.

Bionic Bay is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2025.
