Distilled Gaming Company :

24 September - Distilled Gaming Company is excited to announce the 1.0 launch of the free-to-play card-battler Death or Glory today. This adrenaline-fueled dueling card game pits players against each other in fast-paced, strategic combat. Call upon the powers of almighty deities, seize control from the shadows, or channel your bloodlust through savage attacks - however you choose to play, every decision could mean the difference between ultimate victory or devastating defeat.

In Death or Glory, take control of unique champions from one of five distinct classes - each with their own mechanics and resources. Pick your fighter from one of eleven distinct characters, each with a unique and customizable deck. If you’re a fan of brute strength, Roxxor leverages his extreme power to overwhelm his foes. If disruption is more your style, Crystal the ice faerie can unleash devastating freeze attacks to control the battle. Or, try your hand at the brand new hero entering the arena: Adelean.

New to the 1.0 release, Adelean is a bloodthirsty vampire joining the ranks of the Monster class. Fueling future attacks with the blood of his enemies, this blood-sucking fiend is perfect for players who want to strike fast and leave their foes feeling drained - literally.

Death or Glory calls upon heroes to enter the ring and take on powerful opponents in a formidable fight to become champion. In the roguelike campaign mode, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with increasingly challenging enemies as you climb the ladder to victory. Build an undefeatable deck and master your class, then show off your prowess to your friends in the PvP tower. Claw, cast and crush your way to the top of the leaderboard, with each victory bringing you closer to ultimate glory.

Today’s 1.0 launch means that Death or Glory fans both old and new can also expect a number of quality of life updates, including a total overhaul of the game’s UI and tutorial system.

Since launching into early access last October, the team at Distilled Gaming Company have dedicated themselves to continuous improvements to the game. As they prepare to leave early access, studio founder and game designer Roy Loh said: “We hope the public love our approach to comic book fighting. Our goal is to make a punch, a missile, a spell impactful and visceral, without loosing the strategic depth of a card game. I think we succeeded but the fans will be the judge of that. Soon they will see the fruits of our labor and I cannot be more excited.”

Death or Glory releases 24 September on PC via Steam. For more information, please contact Ethan at [email protected].
