  • 12 teams will square off in the Point Rush and Grand Final stages from Oct 11 to 13

  • The final 8 teams, together with Thailand’s Team Falcons, will then head to the Global Finals in Brazil next month

Singapore, October 8 2024 – Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia 2024 Fall is down to its final week, with the region’s 12 best teams left in the running.

After six weekends of Knockout battles, which saw teams from Thailand and Indonesia dominate the rankings, the regional tournament will culminate in the Point Rush and Grand Final weekend at the Surabaya Convention Center, Indonesia, from Oct 11 to 13. This marks the country’s first time hosting an international Free Fire tournament since the Free Fire Asia Invitational 2019, where home team Island of Gods lifted the trophy in front of the roaring crowds in Jakarta.

While none of the 12 teams will be eliminated during the two-day Point Rush stage, the stakes remain high for those lagging behind, as the last 4 teams will lose their chance to play in the Global Finals in Brazil starting Nov 8. Notably, Thailand’s Team Falcons has already qualified for the Global Finals through the Esports World Cup: Free Fire, and will be joining these 8 teams in their quest on the global stage.

Currently, the teams that still have a shot at the Southeast Asia 2024 Fall championship title are:

  • 5 teams from Thailand: Buriram United Esports, All Gamers Global, Twisted Minds, Attack All Around, Team Falcons

  • 3 teams from Indonesia: RRQ Kazu, EVOS Divine, Bigetron Delta

  • 4 teams from Vietnam: Heavy, Hua Esports, WAG, God of Wolf Esports

Teams from Thailand have continued to show their dominance in Free Fire esports, with all five teams comfortably seizing the top six positions during the Knockout Stage. Ranked third, Indonesia’s RRQ Kazu also put up a formidable fight and was the only foreign team to overtake some of Thailand’s strongest, including Team Falcons, the champion of the Spring league. Having placed fourth in last year’s global FFWS, RRQ Kazu could very well be Indonesia’s best bet, potentially reclaiming the country’s international Free Fire championship title after five years.

Vietnamese teams have also shown significant improvement compared to the Spring season, with four out of five teams now qualifying for the Finals. In particular, WAG was one of the teams with the most Booyahs! during the Knockout Stage, and could be the dark horse in this highly anticipated showdown.

The player with the most Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards by the end of the tournament will also take home the Final MVP trophy and USD4,000 prize money. The leaderboard is currently dominated by AG.Dew, who has 7 MVPs and 207 eliminations under his belt. Closely following behind are BRU.Wassana, TWIS.Diamond, and RRQ.Maal, each of whom has also secured 7 MVPs.

Fans can catch the excitement of the final weekend by tuning into live broadcasts on YouTube, the official livestream partner of FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall. Highlights from the Knockout Stage are also available for replay on official Free Fire social channels.
