We’re excited to announce that JDM: Rise of the Scorpion has received its first content update! While our developers continue fine-tuning the gameplay, we wanted to offer something extra to enrich your experience in this free-to-play prologue for JDM: Japanese Drift Master. With this update, we’re introducing Challenge Mode - a great way to test your skills, whether you're a seasoned racing games player or just beginning your journey.
Challenge Mode:
Experience the thrill of JDM: Rise of the Scorpion’s new single-player mode, where you can test various vehicles on closed tracks. Choose from stock models to those fine-tuned for specific challenges. Whether you're aiming for the best drift score or racing to be the fastest across the finish line, this mode is all about pushing yourself to the limit. Tackle Drift and Grip challenges, face off against AI rivals, and continue improving your driving skills.
Test licensed cars
Licensed Nissan, Subaru and Mazda vehicles are available for players. Take them for a test drive at the dealership and explore their performance in the open world. Want to experience their full potential after tuning? Head over to Challenge Mode and put them to the test on Grip and Drift tracks.
Here are the fixes for the new patch: Car adjustments:
Mazda RX8 - fixed RMP gauges,
Nissan S13, Nissan S14, Mazda RX8, Mazda MX5, Subaru BRZII - adjusted physics, engine, gearbox, and transmission,
Subaru- fixed handbrake,
Nissan, Subaru, and Mazda - gearbox tweaks,
Nissan, Subaru, and, Mazda - fixed automatic downshift,
Stock car polishes - Biggest polishes in Mazda RX8 and Subaru BRZ II, small polishes in Miata NA, Miata NB, Nissan S13QS, Subaru Impreza Bugeye.
Wheel presets
- added T300, T500, T150, G29, G920, Fanatec V2 presets with added and fixed infographics. Added steering wheel navigation support and HUD interactions.
Custom binding
- added a wide selection of device support. Fixed handbrake binding and improved custom binding of hardware.
SFX
- fixed interior camera SFX and ambient sounds. Overall optimized SFXs with small tweaks. Transitions in UI sounds volume.
Events fixes
- Fixed disqualification issues. Better drift in tuned versions for events - Nissan S14 in Driftschool, Nissan S13QS in Isamu Event, Nissan Skyline R34 in Ayumi Event, Mazda Miata NB in Daisuke Event, Subaru BRZ in Sota Event.
Adjustments
- fixed localization, tweaks in SMS textures, adjusted horn range.
We also added more stability fixes for overall better performance.
