We are RaveGameDev, an indie game development studio. You most likely haven’t heard anything about us, but we exist.

The main project we are currently working on is a fun PC game for 1-4 people. You can play with friends in one room or online with the whole world.

We’ve been struggling with the name of the game for a long time and came up with several ideas – Chicken Rush, Chicken MaxGunNets and even KokGun. Finally we’ve chosen Chickenoidz Super Party as a name. By the way, how do you like it?

We’ve been developing the game for 4 months already during which a great deal of work has been done, but there's still so much more to create. Nonetheless, the good news is that we are ready to present the Chickenoidz page on Steam! We’ll be so grateful if you add the game to your “Whishlist”, as it’s the best reward for us now.

In the meantime, while you are waiting for the release of our game, I’ll share with you the inner workings of our company in general, and of the game dev department in particular.

Back in 2015, our company was located in a small office of 10 sq.m. It consisted of only a few guys who wanted to make useful IT products that were supposed to conquer the whole world.

Time has passed, the team has enlarged, the products gained popularity, and now we have an office of 220 sq.m. in the heart of the city with great views, cozy interior and facilities (we even have a smoothie bar). The world, of course, has not yet been conquered, but we became closer to this goal, for sure.

Over these 7 years, we have managed to launch about 10 successful startups that work and earn, and a few that do not work and do not earn. Mainly we created services that were supposed to simplify user’s lives or solve routine matters. Speaking of this, one of the commonly known banks, uses our callback service on its website.

“Since there is something we love and have an eye for – why not create?
That’s how we thought, and here we are, in RaveGameDev, creating games with eyes light up.

We started with studying the market to figure out what is popular now. We wanted to know what can not only achieve our ambitions, but also increase the amount of the jam on our sandwiches, or, in other words, meets the needs. That’s how we ended up making mobile games. We chose the hyper-casual genre, because, as it’s well known, casual games rule the world and hyper-casual games rule casual ones.

So, the aim was clear, it was time to put words into actions. We divided game designers, developers, artists, animators into several teams, each from 3 to 8 people. To organize the developing process we chose Scrum methodology, as it involves weekly task planning, so called - sprints.

Today we have no less than 13 mobile games. So, sit back, relax and get ready for a journey into a world of color scheme harmony, perfect graphics and human centipedes. It’s time to show you screenshots of these games.

Unfortunately, none of them gained success. Only one game can boast of almost half a million downloads. Even though we didn’t make a hyper-casual hit, we got our hands in it, so to speak.

At the moment, other teams continue trying to conquer Google Play Top charts with casual and miscore projects, but one team decided to go for broke and try their hand in PC game development. To cut a long story short, we chose the best variant for us among many ideas and this is how we started to develop our first PC game, Chickenoidz Super Party.

As you can see from the screenshot – it’s a top-down shooter for 1-4 players. You can play with friends on the same screen, sitting on the couch, sipping your favorite drinks, or online with the whole world. It is Inspired by many famous games, including: Boomerang FU, Pummel Party, Mario Party, Crawl. We wanted to take the best of them, by creating a mixture of an arcade, a top down shooter and a party game, but also to add something original.

Have you seen an overgrown jock chicken smashing everything around to smithereens somewhere? Chickenoidz Super Party has one.

Have you seen a non-lethal weapon like a water pistol or an egg mortar somewhere? They lie loaded in our game’s arsenal.

I hope that we will surprise you even more with other features. Sorry, can’t say more, we don’t want to place our cards on the table before the release of the game.

To sum it up, we want to create something dynamic, fun, challenging and flavored with madness. We chose this setting and graphic style to cover more of the audience. The graphic style should attract children and teenagers, but not discourage adults. The opposite situation with gameplay – it should not scare away young people, but interest others.

In our humble opinion, there is some stagnation in games’ world. The big players of the industry follow the beaten track, because they are afraid of wasting multi-million dollar budgets on experiments. Indie studios sometimes give out something original, but, frankly speaking, this does not happen so often.

We are ready for experiments, but we have neither the latest equipment, nor AAA projects’ budgets so far. Therefore, we start with a small project for the gaming world, but a large-scale project for RaveGameDev.

If you want to know more about this game, go to the Chickenoidz Super Party Steam page - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1989770 , and if you want to support us, please add Chickenoids to your “Wishlist”. This means a lot for us, as it motivates us during development.
