(LOS ANGELES, CA) March 3, 2022: Galaxy Racer (GXR), the world’s largest esports, gaming and lifestyle organization, headquartered in Dubai, are thrilled to announce the appointment of Akemi Sue Fisher as CEO of Galaxy Racer North America, following the recent announcement of their expansion to the region. In her new role as CEO of Galaxy Racer North America, Akemi will be assembling and leading a new team for the region as well as establishing an equitable representation for emerging women-identifying esports talent through the organization’s new initiative - HER Galaxy.  She will also be dedicated to developing various business verticals, including the content creators and growing Galaxy Racer’s presence in North America.


Over the last decade, Akemi has focused on building highly successful brands while creating inclusive spaces that empower women, from start-up entrepreneurs to C-Suite executives. As a leading expert in tech-enabled consumer products and e-commerce, she has helped her past clients achieve over $2 billion dollars in sales through Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, Etsy, Ebay and other e-commerce platforms. Utilizing her professional and educational background in social media and influencer marketing, public relations and business administration, Akemi is uniquely equipped to lead Galaxy Racer’s expansion into North America.


In her new role, Akemi will focus on ensuring exponential revenue growth for the new expansion by developing inclusive opportunities for US gamers and innovative social media and influencer strategies. She will also focus on launching Galaxy Racer’s newest initiative, HER Galaxy as well as curating an exceptionally talented team of leaders at the new Los Angeles headquarters. With a  passion for recruiting women C-suite executives and cultivating the professional development of women at all levels, Akemi will work towards cementing Galaxy Racer as the global leader in the esports industry, and as an organization that truly cares about creating an environment that fosters equal opportunities and inclusivity for all gamers.


Galaxy Racer’s expansion into North American territory continues the company’s focus on bridging the gender gap in competitive esports - with the launch of HER Galaxy directly addressing this gap by creating nurturing and inclusive environments for emerging US women-identifying esports talent to excel in professional gaming.
