After more than a decade of game-development and industry-building in South East Asia, Agate executives Arief Widhiyasa, Igor Tanzil, Teguh Wicaksono, Dave Fabrian, and Wiradeva Arif Kristawarman venture out to reinvent the future of Web3. Joined by industry leaders in tech, art, and media: Wirawan Winarto, Chris Lie, and Soni Ardiyanto, the talent-stacked Mythic Protocol team will be looking to upend the concepts of utility and ownership in the contentious Web3 space.
 
Seeing the transformative potential of the Web3 technologies, Arief Widhiyasa (previously CEO at Agate) and Igor Tanzil (previously CCO & CMO at Agate) had set out to challenge the early boundaries of game-fi and non-fungible tokens from a sustainability perspective. Of that effort, Arief, said: “We saw great potential within the Web3 space and were surprised by the glaring gaps within the space that no one addressed, or even identified – and we believe that the effort of filling those gaps warrants our full and undivided attention”
 
The exit, alongside the industry experience of the executives, signals an intent that no other Web3 gaming project have shown: the intent to create a truly engaging gameplay-focused franchise. The addition of experienced veteran of the entertainment and tech industry — Chris Lie, founder of Caravan Studio who have worked with AAA companies like Riot Games, Disney, and DCEU among many; Wirawan Winarto, a tech wiz that have worked with giants like Microsoft, Intel, and Samsung; as well as Soni Ardiyanto, the founder of one of the biggest gaming media in Indonesia — further bolster what is already a star-studded team.

As of June 2022, Mythic Protocol has assembled over 70 of the brightest gaming, Web3, and creative minds all over the worlds, who mainly revolve in South East Asia to ensure the level of execution that the ambitious concept deserves.
 
The show of intent from Mythic Protocol did not stop, as the project team has declared that they are joining one of the biggest events in the space - NFT NYC - as a Platinum Sponsor. The event will be held in New York City on June 20^th through the 23^rd. As the project only launched officially in February of 2022, this shows great progress and backing of the project. Sharing a playable demo for visitors to play with, a feat that is not easily achieved by any other project within the same period of time.
 
Igor Tanzil added “This alpha gameplay demo is just a sneak peek of what we’ve been working on, and we are now working hard not just to build the first game, but a franchise that most people can enjoy. Our plan for the franchise will go beyond our first game title, and we have a roadmap that we want to achieve, not just within the next year or so, but we are going to be here for decades.”
 
At the NFT NYC event, Mythic Protocol also revealed some of their upcoming products: the Retainer Academy — a polished public alpha game build — and the Founder’s Masks — an exclusive pass to the Mythic Protocol world. Both products have been announced to be released in the third quarter of 2022.
