Game Trust | NEW YORK, NY - February 1, 2005 - Game Trust, the leading casual game platform, and MiniClip.com, a global portal for casual games, announce the first Reversi Online Championship to be held online starting Wednesday, February 2nd, and running through Sunday, February 6th. The estimated 10 million Reversi players worldwide can enter to win thousands of dollars worth of prizes, including a $1,000 Grand Prize. Sign-up begins on Wednesday, February 2nd, at www.miniclip-tournaments.com.

Amateur and semi-professional players alike from Europe, North America, and South America have started registering for the tournament. Entrants will be pitted against rivals from around the world in head-to-head matches using the Game Trust multiplayer and tournament technology. Entering players will need to win one of four qualifying match sets hosted daily at 1:00 PM EST/6:00 PM GMT to reach the Championship round on Sunday, February 6th.

Reversi, also known as Othello, is a classic board game with origins in the late 19th century. The rules of the game are simple, yet difficult to master, creating a thriving global community of skilled players. Dozens of Reversi events are hosted annually throughout the world, and the Reversi Online Tournament is the first major event of its kind to be hosted online.

"We invite all Reversi and Othello players to join this groundbreaking event," said Adeo Ressi, CEO of Game Trust. "Game Trust has developed a beautiful online Reversi game backed by world class tournament infrastructure. We have organized a group of professional tournament administrators to help all players, young and old, participate in this exciting event."
