Games Done Quick’s Flame Fatales Returns This Sunday

The All-Women and Femmes Speedrunning Event Benefits Malala Fund

Games Done Quick :

August 15, 2024 – Games Done Quick’s all-women and femmes summer speedrunning event Flame Fatales returns this summer, August 18-25, with an exciting lineup of speedruns and showcases to benefit Malala Fund. The week-long speedrunning marathon will take place online and be broadcast on Games Done Quick’s Twitch channel.

This year, viewers can expect speedruns from games new and old, including Super Mario 64 DS, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 3, Portal, and much more.

Flame Fatales is organized by GDQ’s all-women and femmes speedrunning community Frame Fatales. Flame Fatales 2024 will benefit Malala Fund, a non-profit that works to secure free, safe, and quality education for girls around the world. Viewers can directly support the charity by donating on the Games Done Quick homepage. All donations received during Flame Fatales 2024 will go directly to Malala Fund.

Since 2010, Games Done Quick has partnered with some of the world’s most impactful charities, including AbleGamers, Doctors Without Borders, Organization for Autism Research, and Prevent Cancer Foundation, uniting people globally through popular speedrunning marathons. To date, Games Done Quick events have raised more than $51 million in total for charity.
