06/12/04 - Future Publishing's GamesMaster is this month unveiling its new look - taking the UK's best-selling multi-format games magazine into the New Year.
Debuting with the January 2005 issue of GamesMaster, the new look comes after more than five years since the last redesign of the magazine. The eagerly awaited new look promises to build on the core strengths of the magazine that have made it a popular choice with UK gamers since its launch in 1993.
Packed with its unique mix of news, features, tips and competitions, GamesMaster intends to maintain its position as market leader and has introduced new page furniture and entry points, making it easier to pick the magazine up, but even harder to put down.
Responding to a number of changes in the market - GamesMaster is increasing its focus on handheld gaming to reflect the launch of the Nintendo DS and Sony Portable PlayStation (PSP), and will increase coverage of online gaming over coming issues of the magazine.
The reinvigorated GamesMaster is also introducing a brand-new section called "We ® Games" - which will reflect the reader's love of games, encouraging them to send in their game and console designs, showing them how to get their dream job in the industry, telling them the history of the biggest game series as well as acting as lively forum to discuss all the latest news from the world of games.
Robin Alway, Editor of GamesMaster magazine says:
"GamesMaster's readers are the UK's most passionate gamers and this redesign allows us to build on our strengths and make our offering even stronger.
"With our new contemporary look and feel, GamesMaster is once again staking its claim and reaffirming to both gamers and our competitors why we are the UK's best selling multi-format games magazine."
On sale, December 16th - Issue 155 of GameMaster magazine will feature a rundown of the top 50 games of 2004, as well as carrying reviews of some of the biggest titles for 2005 including Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on PlayStation 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 on Xbox as well an 8 page review of Nintendo's new handheld console, the DS.
Issue 155 of GamesMaster magazine hits newsstands on Thursday, December 16th with a cover price of £3.25.
