Patrones y Escondites :

Barcelona, Spain – August 28, 2024. The game artisans at Patrones & Escondites are thrilled to start shouting from the rooftops that PINEAPPLE: A Bittersweet Revenge will officially launch on September 26 for PC, iOS, and Android, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for Q4 2024.

Billed as the ‘ultimate interactive prank simulator’, PINEAPPLE invites players to step into the shoes of a teenager who flips the script on their bully through a series of clever, pineapple-based pranks. Inspired by a true Reddit post, the game combines witty (pineapple) challenges and outlandish (pineapple) humor with a deeper exploration of (pineapple-flavored) bullying and revenge — all delivered with a twist of delightfully pineapple absurdity.

To celebrate the upcoming release, Patrones & Escondites is dropping a brand-new cinematic trailer, showcasing PINEAPPLE’s hand-drawn, doodle-like visuals, a ‘song of the summer’ level of catchy soundtrack, and a sneak peek at some of the most outrageous pineapple pranks in the game.

You've had enough. That mean girl at school just won't quit hassling you and your buddies. It's time to put an end to it. What if the witch gets a taste of her own medicine?

Inspired by a viral Reddit post, PINEAPPLE: A Bittersweet Revenge is a ‘story-revenge-driven game’ where you become the school hero by pulling pineapple pranks on its top bully — and maybe lose a bit of yourself in the process.

The game challenges players to investigate and prank their bully by placing pineapples in the most unexpected and personal places. While its storyline is rib-tickling fun, it also encourages players to reflect on the fine line between fighting for justice and becoming the aggressor.

PINEAPPLE is a compact yet impactful experience, intentionally designed to be completed in about 90 minutes. The brief duration ensures players stay engaged from start to finish, savoring its more interactive than puzzle-based challenges and moral dilemmas. The game’s humor, paired with the unique art style by David Octane, makes it both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Already recognized with the Best Ludonarrative Game award at Guadalindie Málaga 2024, PINEAPPLE: A Bittersweet Revenge has quickly become one of the most anticipated pineapple-based indie releases of the year (by its developers).
