Gladihaters does a unique blend of strategy, management, and fighting action as you explore a rich dystopian prison and society of the future. Players can expect a unique 2D pixel-art cyberpunk game with striking visuals and beautiful animations.


You have 365 days as a guard in a dystopian jail to earn the Prison Arena of the Year title. The prize is given to you if you excel in management, recruit personnel for each department, explore new technologies, ensure technologies, and secure triumphs in each arena.


A lot of positive changes are coming

At present, the game has garnered some excellent comments, particularly for its graphics style and innovative synthesizer-based music. Furthermore, Gladihaters is set to acquire a slew of new components, game systems, fights, minor tweaks, and other enhancements during 2022.


This new game mixes a number of different mechanics so that no matter your favorite genre, you should have a good time. Gladihaters is available today on PC via Steam Early Access.


About Gladihaters:

Gladihaters started in IPCA Game Jam 2019, in which we had 48 hours to develop a game with the theme 'sacrifice'. We figured that a gladiator arena in which prisoners fight each other to the death was a good idea, but the twist was that the players only controls a prison warden, who shouts commands to those prisoners to make them win or lose. This created a fun and unexpected take on the serious theme. The reception in the Game Jam was very good as the other developers and jury, awarded Gladihaters with the best Art, Music and the third place in the Game Jam. After such a nice reception and testing the prototype with other players we further developed the concept, the story world and the scope of the game. Gladihater's creative director and developer has worked for some creative agencies in Portugal, and after a few years working with digital interactive projects for major brands, he started researching game design and game production. In the beginning of 2021 he contacted the other 3 members of the game jam team and started production. Other people were in the project: artists, writers, music and sound artists, marketeers and others. Some of the most significant additions to the original game are the use of historical characters, more management and strategy elements between fights, and more 'chaos' in each combat. The game is currently released in Early Access on Steam, and any player can adquire it was keep advacning with the production.
