Goblinz Publishing signs cyberpunk city builder Neongarten

September 25, 2024 – Goblinz Publishing is excited to announce that it is signing a new title to its roster of deep and compelling strategy games. Neongarten, by Moonroof Studios, is a roguelite city builder where you build your own dystopia from the ground up. Inspired by Luck Be a Landlord and Islanders, the game's minimalist design and strategic depth are a compelling combination.

Every day, you choose one of three buildings and place it on a four by four grid. Location is key, as buildings will give benefits and penalties to their neighbors. A factory gets bonuses for each industrial building stacked on top of it. A toxic waste dump increases the factory's income, but penalizes any nearby apartments. A nearby plastic mine can double the income of the factory, but only if you build enough apartments on top of it. You'll need to craft complex combos in order to keep up with the increasingly absurd tax bills of the dystopian government and survive for another month.

Neongarten will be available in English, German, French, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
