BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – January 25, 2021 – It’s time to pull out your cutlery because Cannibal Cuisine is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Microsoft Store for PC! The game was already available on Nintendo Switch and Steam though these saw new content served today. Developer Rocket Vulture has also released a new, free content expansion - The Curse of the Scarab King - so you can ALL enjoy fine cuisine even more, with your friends of course, as the game is cross-gen on consoles!
With the latest release of Cannibal Cuisine on new platforms, developer Rocket Vulture from Belgium has achieved a new milestone! Even more, gamers can enjoy the colorful, happy, and somewhat macabre shenanigans of cutting up mindless tourists into food to feed to the dark god Hoochooboo.
To celebrate the game coming to new platforms, Rocket Vulture will offer a 20% launch discount, and a new expansion completely for free. The Curse of the Scarab King features new gameplay features alongside six new levels and is out now on ALL platforms, including the previous Steam and Nintendo Switch releases.
Check out the Official Release Trailer here:
You'll need to cook, fight and use platforming skills to make it through all 30 levels and finally defeat Hoochooboo in his volcano lair. Of course, the tourists will not be keen to be chopped up, so chances are you have a bit of a fight on your hands. Luckily you can play the game with your friends, so that makes this the perfect chaotic couch party experience for 1-4 players, local or online, co-op or versus!
Embalmed snacks!
If you haven’t already been enjoying this exquisite cuisine yet, now is the perfect time to sit down for a virtual meal as Rocket Vulture will release a brand new, completely free expansion campaign. On top of the 24 levels in the base game, The Curse of the Scarab King adds 5 new levels plus a new challenge level where you must face the Scarab King himself. And instead of chasing after mindless tourists, there are mummies on the menu in the sandy setting inspired by Ancient Egyptian visuals.
Beetle bashing
Adding to the mayhem of traps, jumps, and moving platforms, there are more challenging new game mechanics too, like switch-controlled bridges, and shutting down deadly green beams by hunting a scarab beetle. Just steal their gem, plug it into a gem socket and you’re all good to go!
Dress to impress
And because you want to look like the coolest cannibal ever, the new expansion also features new cosmetics, adding 8 new items – perhaps a turban or fez appeals to your sense of style, or a golden hilted scimitar will be your weapon of choice? Of course, you can add all the new extras to the main game items. So if an axe and cool turban is your thing, go for it. Or maybe the classic chef’s hat and frying pan are more to your liking? You can go all out!
So grab a knife (or controller) and dig in because this will be the best meal ever!
Food for thought
Developer Toon van Wemmel states that the team is proud of their latest release: “It’s always great to introduce new chefs to the delights of Cannibal Cuisine, and we hope Xbox and PlayStation fans will make some tasty meals! At the same time, we’re expanding the menu for everybody with the free Curse of the Scarab King expansion, which we released today on all platforms.”

About the Developers
Cannibal Cuisine is the latest game from indie team Rocket Vulture. In a fortunate twist of fate, two childhood friends met a third aspiring game maker as neighbors in their home country of Belgium, bonding over BBQ (a fitting background for Cannibal Cuisine). Being fans of Overcooked and all kinds of arcade games, the team quickly settled on the concept: an Overcooked style cook ‘em up featuring combat, magical powers and a little platforming.
