Hero Games :
Beijing, August 19th 2024 – Leading Chinese developer and publisher, Hero Games, today proudly announces their latest project, CrisisX, and confirms that the game will be playable at gamescom 2024.
Set in a quiet coastal town in the western US during the 1990’s, CrisisX tells a story of chaos and danger; the consequences of a scientific expedition gone awry.
A devastating infection has swept the town turning the once peaceful townsfolk and wildlife into grotesquely mutated forms. Our hero awakes on the beach, life as it once was is over, the world is transformed. As they struggle to survive and make sense of the unfolding nightmare, alliances are formed with other survivors, each with their own agendas and stories of loss.
Attendees of gamescom can get their hands on CrisisX on mobile and PC along with a couple of fun side activities on the Hero Games booth in Hall 10.1 in the entertainment area.
Founded in 2015, Hero Games works with a mission to create world class games which inspire both their staff and players and as such have garnered multiple award wins for both the company and their products. They also partner, through investment, with key development studios including upcoming Action RPG Black Myth: Wukong from Game Science, and fan favourite Wuthering Waves developed by Kuro Games Studio. Their involvement with both illustrates their commitment to cross platform AAA blockbuster development.
“We are deeply invested in the global markets, and with CrisisX, we aim to take Hero Games to the next level” stated CEO Daniel Wu, speaking of the company ambition to expand their publishing operations into western markets “we feel that now is the time to introduce ourselves and our products to a wider audience.” Speaking of Crisis X, Daniel continues “We are passionate about building a cross-platform product that reaches high game UX standards, not limited to technically complex and highly product interactivity, but also top-quality art details, extensive & realistic landscapes, cinematic videos and music.”
CrisisX will be released in 2025 on iOS, Android, PC and Xbox and will be free to play. Join the Crisis X conversation on Facebook, Discord, Instagram, YouTube and X and pre-register to take part in the beta tests on the official game website.
