Hidden Pass deploys a tactical demo to reinforce its strategic Kickstarter
A fusion of Tactical RPG combat and strategy in a world of magic, machinery and mayhem. Crowdfunding begins for an extended solo campaign

May 28th - 2024 – Independent developer GG Studio is proud to debut the new Steam demo for Hidden Pass, their upcoming turn-based strategy RPG, coming to Steam, the Epic Games Store and Humble. The demo plunges players into a pair of tactical battle scenarios, and will take most players under 90 minutes to complete.
Hidden Pass is also live now on Kickstarter, and backers at the €15 EUR (around $16.27 USD) level or above will be able to claim a limited edition discounted copy of the game when it’s complete, plus a newsletter and Discord role. Backers at the €20 tier or higher will receive all of the above plus their name in the credits.

While largely complete already, Hidden Pass is seeking approximately $10,700 USD to complete development via Kickstarter. It is well on track to hit that funding target by the end of the funding period.
Hidden Pass draws inspiration from strategy and tactical hits, with a combat engine evokes Into The Breach and a strategic layer fans of Heroes of Might and Magic 3 will feel at home with. Build a team of skyfaring heroes, wield techno-magical devices and construct automatons as you explore uncharted sky-islands rich in secrets and powerful, dangerous Elyrium crystals.

"Breaking down the core gameplay loop a little, expect to spend around 70% of the game in tactical combat, and the remaining time on the strategic map layer!”
Key Features:
Multi-layered Combat: Deploy flying units to tackle the complex vertical battlefields of the floating islands, and outflank the ground-pounders.
Elyrium Madness: Magic is a corrupting force, and over-use can drive your units mad. But such risks are tempting, as those teetering on the edge of madness make the most powerful mages.
Passing the Baton: Swap out defeated or wounded units mid-battle with reserve units from your Tower, adapting to changing battle scenarios.
Automatons: Manufacture powerful Elyrium-fueled automatons to fill out your roster, with their own unique strengths and abilities.
Wanderer's Tower: Your upgradeable home base, where recruitment, research and upgrading happens. It can also move between clusters of islands, giving it access to ever-shifting resource pools.
Elyrium Rush: The heart of the strategic layer. Travel through the Elyrium belt to secure the powerful crystals, as well as mundane resources like Wood and Metal to fund your incursion deeper into hostile territory.
