HITMAN World of Assassination: The Drop featuring Superstar DJ Dimitri Vegas is back for an encore, playable for free now

Copenhagen, Denmark, September 12^th, 2024 – IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, is happy to announce the latest launch of the Elusive Target mission, The Drop, featuring the likeness and voiceover work of Superstar DJ Dimitri Vegas. The mission is available to play in the Free Starter Pack* for new players and as a regular Elusive Target for HITMAN World of Assassination players, from September 12^th to October 14^th, 2024. The Drop is available globally on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch™ and PC. 

The Drop is back for more. Alexios Laskaridis, a DJ-turned-drug impresario, with a dangerous taste for violence, is taking a new residency in Club Boom, based on the HITMAN 3 Berlin map. Players are tasked with taking down the nightlife mogul before his actions reach unstoppable consequences. From the DJ booth to the backstage, there are many ways to end the Drop’s main act before he can conclude his gig.

Alongside the return of The Drop, a new DLC pack is available now, granting permanent access to the following:

·           The Base - A Two-Level Arcade contract featuring The Drop Elusive Target, available through the Arcade mode

·           The Club Boom DJ Suit

·           Three Items: The Club Boom 12" Vinyl Sampler, The Club Boom 12" Flightcase, and the The Red Light Flash Grenade

·           A set of cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse inspired by the Drop mission

The Season of the Drop – Live Updates, Free for HITMAN WOA Players

The Drop’s return will not be a solo act as more content will be coming to HITMAN World of Assassination across the next weeks. As detailed in the roadmap, four new challenges will be brought to the game, with new items and suits to unlock. The Mills Reverie is also coming to add an eerie feeling around Halloween. Five Elusive Targets will also make their return, giving players another chance at finally completing those evasive contracts. Finally, a new Twitch Drop, the Purple Bat, will be unlocked for players watching one hour of HITMAN World of Assassination on Twitch between the September 12^th through 22^nd.

HITMAN World of Assassination is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The Drop DLC Pack is available from today, the 12^th of September 2024, for $4.99/€4.99/£3.99 on every platform.
