AUSTIN, Texas — May 2, 2024 — Homeworld: Vast Reaches is officially available to play on Meta Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets. FarBridge, Inc., a leading game development studio, in partnership with Gearbox Entertainment, is excited to introduce the players to a bold new story in the beloved Homeworld saga that reimagines strategic space battles for Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality. Homeworld: Vast Reaches is now available for purchase on the Meta Store and coming to SteamVR later this year.

In Homeworld: Vast Reaches players assume the role of Fleet Command, a human commander directing a fleet of spaceships to attack, defend, and capture strategic resources. Players will build up their armada of ships and face off against a mysterious new foe in dynamic outer space combat throughout a thrilling new campaign crafted specifically for VR and MR.

“We're very excited to have players experience the signature space battles of Homeworld in ways they never have before,” shares Richard Rouse III, Creative Director at FarBridge. “Playing in VR puts you in deep space with your ships flying around your head, while in MR mode the dogfights and giant Mothership appear right in your living room.”

The Homeworld series is famous for its signature three-dimensional combat encounters and environments in outer space. It is perfectly positioned for the world of VR gaming that empowers players to view the action from any angle as they drag, drop, and command their ships into precise formations for combat. Homeworld: Vast Reaches is available for purchase now.

Fleet Control is in Your Hands.
