Hooded Horse celebrates a stand-out summer of releases and milestones

Hooded Horse :

August 6, 2024 - Hooded Horse is celebrating a successful summer following a new game announcement, several launches, and new wishlist milestones across the portfolio as it gears up for gamescom at the end of August.

The two most recent successes involve medieval kingdom builder Norland, and siege defense RTS Cataclismo, both of which enjoyed successful Early Access launches in July. Norland sold over 185,000 copies in its first two weeks, while Cataclismo crossed the 120,000 copies threshold in the same period after its launch.

This follows on from two Early Access graduations in June, where antastic RTS Empires of the Undergrowth and complex city-building game Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic enjoyed successful 1.0 launches, with both games hitting all-time high concurrent user counts.

Hooded Horse also recently announced cat-and-mouse city-building game Whiskerwood, which garnered a great reception and has nearly hit 50,000 wishlists three weeks since its reveal.

Turning to wishlists, Hooded Horse’s portfolio as a whole has had over nine million wishlist additions over the past one year period, including several new wishlist milestones that are worth sharing:

MENACE, the new game from the developers of hit tactical RPG Battle Brothers, has also cleared 230,000 wishlists, almost a year since it was first announced at gamescom 2023. 

Speaking of gamescom, Hooded Horse will be heading to Cologne, August 21- 25. Breachway will be there with an updated demo build at the Indie Arena Booth, and Overhype Studios will be showing off the latest from MENACE in behind-closed-doors sessions.
