Berlin, March 07, 2022 - Mobile games studio Kolibri Games has announced that its most successful title, Idle Miner Tycoon ® (IMT), is now available as a cloud game on Facebook Gaming. The launch constitutes a major expansion of IMT’s availability, with the potential to bring in new players from around the world. It is the first platform expansion since the game’s release on Apple and Android mobile stores six years ago.
Idle Miner Tycoon is the most popular title in the Kolibri Games portfolio, having been downloaded over 100 million times, with an active user base across global markets. The expansion comes as a result of the partnership between Kolibri Games and Ubisoft Da Nang, Vietnam, with the latter overseeing the porting and maintenance of the cloud version on the same server as the mobile player. Launching as a cloud game on Facebook Gaming is an opportunity to bring the game to an even wider audience.
Guillaume Verlinden, Managing Director of Kolibri Games states:
“Cloud gaming is an exciting space and one which we’re thrilled to become active in. Continuing to grow IMT is a cornerstone of our company’s strategy and working alongside Ubisoft Vietnam to realize this goal has allowed us to offer our players additional access to our multiplatform portfolio while reaching new players at the same time.”
Bruno Patatas, Product Director of Idle Miner Tycoon adds:
“It’s always been our goal to make Idle Miner as easily available to players as possible. With cloud gaming becoming increasingly popular, it was important for us to tap into this market as we seek to continue to be at the forefront of developments in the idle genre. We expect this launch on Facebook Gaming to be the catalyst for continued growth as we introduce an already highly successful title to an entirely new platform.”
