The largest independent game developers contest in Eastern Europe, Indie Cup, opens its winter season on January 18. Until February 14, local developers can submit their games on the event’s website and compete for the victory in 9 nominations.
Indie Cup W’22 schedule:
January 18 – submission starts;
February 14 – submission ends;
February 24 – participants presentation;
March 15 – nominations reveal;
April 12 – winners reveal.
Indie Cup W’22 introduces the development sessions, the first of their kind in the event’s history. Experts from Larian Studios, Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin authors will run three webinars for indie game developers. Follow the Indie Cup news on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to be the first to know the sessions schedule.
The games will be evaluated by experts from Larian, Roblox, Focus Entertainment, Fellow Traveler, Ubisoft, NVIDIA, Wargaming, Owlcat Games, 101XP, and many others. Also, game journalists, influencers, winners of past contests, and even the players themselves, in the special Players' Choice category.
Among Indie Cup prizes, there are powerful graphic cards from Unreal Engine, PR services from GTP Media, tickets to conferences, services, and a special award from Kefir – teams can receive full funding for their game, as well as assistance in its development and promotion. Developers from Eastern Europe can submit their games to the following categories:
Best PC Game;
Best Mobile Game;
Rising Star;
Best Art;
Best Audio;
Critics’ Choice;
Streamers’ Choice;
Players’ Choice;
Best Unreal Engine Game (in partnership with Indie Cup platinum sponsor Unreal Engine).
Indie Cup W‘22 runs in partnership with Kefir, Unreal Engine, Xsolla, Larian, tinyBuild, 101XP, and other partners.
Developers from 22 countries are eligible to participate in Indie Cup: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Estonia.

Indie Cup is the largest indie developers contest in Eastern Europe. More than 350 games participate in the cup annually. Indie Cup runs twice a year, fully online. Games submission, presentation, judging process, and awards happen on the Indie Cup website and social media.
