A dark first-person roguelike deckbuilder, INFERIUS immerses players in a world inspired by Dante’s Inferno, thrusting them into a nightmarish cycle within Hell. Players face a harrowing journey through the nine layers of hell—Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, and Treachery—each ruled by merciless deities and haunted by twisted creatures.
Along the way, they’ll wield a lantern and Major Arcana Tarot cards to light their path and strategically confront hell’s darkest inhabitants. This is a journey to escape the Inferno, retrieve the hearts of each circle, and unlock the gate to freedom…or risk eternal damnation.
Each level features immersive environments crafted from nightmares and eldtrich creatures that will challenge players both mentally and strategically. From stealth elements to resource management, players must wisely wield their skills and gather soul essences to unlock new powers in the depths.
Gameplay-wise, INFERIUS is a roguelike deckbuilder, but its heart lies in the psychological descent that unfolds as the player faces the oppressive dread and horrors that infest each layer of Hell.
The game combines the excitement of skill development and trait upgrading with the stark reality of a constantly eroding sanity. With every circle deeper, players face intense trials and gain new strengths—but at the cost of a fraying mind.
