Sep 5, 2024. We are thrilled to share that we have released Project Makina into closed beta. Project Makina is a robust suite of generative AI tools and engine aimed at streamlining and simplifying the creation, remixing, and publishing of video games. This closed beta is accessible to early adopters, including video game enthusiasts, developers, and designers.

Project Makina revolutionizes the creation of 10+ genres of games, including Character Sims, Visual Novels, Interactive Stories, and Classic Arcade games. Using natural language, creators can customize these games across narrative, environments, visuals, and NPCs.

“We are revolutionizing the future of game development by re-inventing tools, engines, and workflows from the ground up, powered by generative AI. Today’s release marks a significant milestone, offering an early glimpse into the possibilities - enabling anyone to create, remix, and publish video games. This is just the start; we are eager to extend our platform to empower professional game makers as well,” said Vatsal Bhardwaj, founder and CEO of Jabali.

Jabali’s Project Makina is an end-to-end, customizable AI-native engine that empowers creators to interact with AI from concept to fully functional games. The Jabali platform leverages multiple advanced AI models to enhance the design and development process, with specialized models for each task in game development—whether it’s generating character portraits, facilitating choice generation in interactive stories, or creating game builds.
