Playism | PLAYISM is proud to announce that we will be publishing Journey Record, an action RPG developed for Steam by Kochi Create.
The Steam page is now available, so please take a look and wishlist the game!
In order to further polish the game before release, we will be holding a playtest survey at the PLAYISM booth at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2023! Your feedback will help us improve the game, so please stop by to tell us your thoughts!
About the Game
At a glance, this game looks like a retro 2D RPG game, but this is actually an action RPG, where you use the Magic Eye Camera and Crystals to swap between seeing the world in 2D or 3D and progress through puzzle-like stages as you fight your way across the land.
A young girl who has lost her vision is accompanied by her best friend, a cat with the Magic Eye Camera, and she sees the world through the lens of the Camera.
By using the power of Crystals, she can look at the world from a variety of perspectives, and eventually discover the truths of this world.

A brand new game experience where you use Crystals to change your perspective... literally
Puzzle-like stages where changing your perception of the world can reveal new paths and secrets
Challenging battles where you have to utilize perspective-switching to gain an upper hand

Hello, this is Kochi Create.
5 years ago, I thought to myself while playing a game, "I want to go over there, to the place you see in the background," and this was the beginning of Journey Record.
In this game, you'll be attacked by enemies in the background, and even visit the towns and other locations in the backdrop.
I've received a lot of feedback from PLAYISM, and the game has gone through a lot of twists and turns (such as the genre changing from a pure RPG to an action RPG), but I'm satisfied with the result.
I hope you'll support us as we work hard to complete the game!
