Krafton’s global publishing capabilities strengthened by Oh’s international experience at leading companies like Riot Games

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – 6 August 2024 - KRAFTON, Inc. (CEO CH Kim) has appointed Jin Oh as its Chief Global Publishing Officer (CGPO), a strategic move to strengthen its presence in global markets and enhance the discovery of new intellectual properties (IPs).
Starting in September, Oh will oversee KRAFTON's global publishing and international business operations. With a distinguished background in the gaming industry, Oh brings invaluable international experience and insights from his tenure as President of Global Publishing and Esports at Riot Games, as well as his leadership roles as CEO at Garena and Managing Director at Blizzard Entertainment, where he played a pivotal role in launching and supporting major global IPs.
KRAFTON expects that Oh's recruitment will significantly enhance its competitiveness in the global business landscape by facilitating the discovery of new IPs, improving service offerings, and expanding global publishing efforts. Additionally, with ongoing mergers and acquisitions to broaden its business scope and diversify its IP portfolio, KRAFTON believes Oh’s expertise and leadership will effectively drive these initiatives forward.
In response to his appointment, Oh stated, "I am very pleased to join KRAFTON." He added, "I am committed to delivering results that will satisfy users and fans, leveraging my experience and capabilities in the global gaming industry."
KRAFTON has been continuously recruiting world-class talent to strengthen its capabilities as a global publisher. At the end of last year, the company appointed Dr. Richard Yoon, former Head of WW Health Business at Apple Inc. and Managing Director of Apple Korea, as Vice President of Global Strategy and Operations. Additionally, in May of this year, Thomas Ko, who previously led Samsung Electronics’ Samsung Pay as Global GM (General Manager) and Epic Games’ online platform business, was appointed as Krafton’s Vice President of Publishing Platforms.
