March 18th, 2022 - Shanghai, China - The anime-themed Japanese riichi mahjong game Mahjong Soul announces its first anime entitled Mahjong Soul Pon☆ and is releasing the first trailer. Mahjong Soul Pon☆ will air on Mahjong Soul’s official YouTube channel from April 1st, 2022. Kenshiro Morii is the director, with SCOOTER FILMS as the animation production studio. The voice actresses and actors of the characters in the anime will be consistent with those in the game.

About Mahjong Soul Pon☆
Mahjong Soul Official has released a trailer for its first anime series entitled Mahjong Soul Pon☆. The animation will center on Ichihime, the core character of Mahjong Soul, featuring mahjong matches and lively everyday stories at Mahjong Soul Shrine. Those characters who are familiar to Mahjong Soul players, like Kaguyahime, Wanjirou, and others, will also come to life in chibi format in this anime. Mahjong Soul Pon☆ is set to air on Mahjong Soul’s official YouTube channel every Friday at 10:00 A.M., beginning on April 1, 2022 (UTC-7). There will be 1 pilot piece (Episode 0) and 12 main episodes. Everybody, get ready for the match, Pon!
