The teams behind Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom, set for release on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, for Meta Quest, revealed exciting new details about its characters, mechs, and the main cast for both the Japanese and English version as well as announcing a special program coming soon.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom is a virtual reality movie set in the year U.C. 0096, where you step into the story as the protagonist, exploring a life-sized Universal Century. This highly anticipated work has captured attention from all corners, including a nomination in the Venice Immersive competition, part of the Extended Reality (XR) section of the prestigious Venice International Film Festival, one of the world's top three film festivals.

Unveiling New Characters and Mecha

This latest reveal introduces four new characters: Azami Meggineh and Joff Idiy, former members of the Federation Forces who have stirred chaos within the mercenary organization, to which the protagonist belongs; Haro, a loyal companion who supports the protagonist; and Fixzi Fix, a mysterious boy with a deep connection to Babia Lena of Argent Keel. Additionally, the unveiling includes the Mobile Suit "ZSSA," piloted by Joff!

Characters

Azami Meggineh, age 38, is a former Federation Forces official who has been secretly collaborating with Zeon, manipulating both sides for her own gain. Narcissistic and sharp-tongued, she skillfully twists others' words to keep them at a distance. Currently, she is hiding among the Neo Zeon remnants, known as the Sleeves, for her protection.

Age 33, Joff Idiy is a direct subordinate of Azami Meggineh and has been her bodyguard since their time together in the Federation Forces. A skilled pilot, he now flies a red Zssa as a replacement member of the Sleeves' "RGTS" mobile suit team.

Fixzi Fix is a young boy who formed a profound bond with Babia Lena, leaving a tremendous impact on her belief system.

A pet robot originally manufactured by the SUN Corporation, Haro has been uniquely customized by the protagonist, making it a lovable companion. It offers generous support at times, though it occasionally causes more trouble than help.
 

Mecha

ZSSA (JOFF AIDI USE) Model number：AMX-102

A Zssa piloted by Joff, who defected to the Sleeves alongside Azami. Modified from the RGTS type, its equipment has been reconfigured to suit his unique piloting style.

Main Voice Cast Revealed

The main cast for the Japanese and English version of Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom has been announced, revealing a total of 16 cast members, including Protagonist. Additionally, we have received comments from Protagonist, who will play Shin Yuuki, Atsumi Tanezaki, and BABIA LENA, who will play Mariya Ise. Special Program Announced to be live streamed on Youtube

A special program for Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom is set to stream on the official Gundam YouTube channel in late September. 

The program will review the story, characters, and mechs of Silver Phantom revealed so far. It will also feature Shoko Nakagawa, who performs the theme song "ACROSS THE WORLD," as she experiences the work firsthand, and we'll share that unique experience with you.

Additionally, exclusive interview footage will be revealed with key staff members, including Director Kenichi Suzuki, scriptwriter Ryoji Sekinishi, composer Yoshiya Ikeda, as well as Atlas V, Meta, Albyon and Astrea staff key members.This program will delve into the creative vision behind "Silver Phantom" and highlight key elements to look out for.
