LONDON, Ontario – Oct. 2, 2024 – Warframe’s next major update, Koumei & the Five Fates, launches today for free across all current platforms, developed in partnership with Sumo Digital. Weave together the latest Warframe, Koumei, take on the new early-game mission type and mini-boss, and dive into huge waves of balance reworks for some Warframes and companions, as well as quality of life improvements for new player experiences.
Grab hold the threads of fate as the 58th Warframe, Koumei the dice-maiden. Become an oracle of fortuitous fate and take hold of random games of chance to inflict different status ailment traps, achieve chance driven actions in exchange for buffs, summon orbiting protective charms, and string up enemies to guarantee more status ailment inflictions.
Protect the Cetus settlement from a possible fearful future in a new mission type, Shrine Defense. Fight off waves of enemies rising from the sea, protect offerings of good fortune, and witness the rise of a new Infested mini-boss, the Infested Oni.
New quality of life improvements also arrive alongside today’s update around features like the usefulness of the Companion system, more clarity around feature introductions in the new player experience, and major improvements to Cross Platform Trading.

Caliban, the heir of twin kingdoms, is also now available as a free login reward until Oct. 16 in celebration of his long awaited rework improving combat mobility, ability synergy, and damage versatility.
Nova, Wukong, and Hildryn also get their own smaller balance tweaks to join the bundle of gameplay updates.

Today also marks the start of Warframe’s annual Halloween event: Nights of Naberus! Take on haunting tasks and exchange tokens for various themed glyphs and emblems from now until Nov. 1.
