FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chapel Hill, NC - December 7, 2004 - To celebrate the successful launch of Space Interceptor: Project Freedom, Merscom is hosting "MersCON", it's own virtual convention. Here, www.SpaceInterceptor.com, fans can register for great prizes, including a chance to appear as a character in Space Interceptor 2, meet the developers and publisher behind the game, and chat with other fans of SI and scifi space combat action. Other prizes include signed copies of the game and free subscriptions to Starlog Magazine, the leading authority in science fiction and fantasy for over 20 years.

Space Interceptor: Project Freedom orbits you into the third millennium, where Earth's mega-corporations, having exhausted all natural resources, now colonize the solar system. As a space fighter pilot contracted by one of the few remaining "good guys", a company called Project Freedom, you must battle their ruthless competition in the lawless new frontier of outer space. Actual recorded space data was used to create an intensely realistic experience as your missions take you through beautifully rendered settings such as the asteroid belt, Jupiter's moons, and a faraway galaxy.

To meet the people behind the game, chat with other fans, and register for your chance to appear as a character in Space Interceptor 2, or for other great prizes, visit www.SpaceInterceptor.com and look for "MersCON". Registration ends December 31, 2004. Before entering, be sure to read all Contest Rules.

Space Interceptor: Project Freedom is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB for Mild Language and Violence.
