CHAPEL HILL, NC - November 4, 2004 - Merscom LLC today announced "Terrorist Takedown" for PC has gone gold. With its fully realistic sound effects and rapid-fire gameplay, this arcade-style military action game drops you on the front line in the war on terror. Furthermore, to honor those men and women fighting the real war, a percent of profits from the sale of each copy of the game will be donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF). This very special charity pays tribute to those fallen Special Operations personnel by providing college scholarship grants to their surviving children. Retailing for $19.99 (USD) and rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB for Strong Language and Violence, "Terrorist Takedown" was developed by CITY Interactive and is scheduled to arrive on store shelves in the next two weeks. The game will be distributed by Atari and will be widely available across the country.
Steeped in today's headlines with vivid 3D environments and powerful special effects, "Terrorist Takedown" is nonstop military action. Take control of AH-64 and UH-1 helicopters, operate High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs), and fire heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, and more as you strike at known terrorists and their sponsors. In 16 heart-pounding missions, you must defeat the terrorists and protect our homeland.

About Special Operations Warrior Foundation
SOWF got its start in 1980 in the wake of the Iranian hostage crisis by providing college educations for the children of those American Special Operations forces killed or incapacitated during the attempted rescue of 53 citizens being held hostage by terrorists at the US Embassy in Tehran. Since then, America's Special Operations forces have suffered casualties at over 15 times the rate of conventional forces. Most of these casualties occur at an early age, at the beginning of their careers, thus leaving behind families who have yet to accumulate the resources to provide for their surviving children's college education. That's where SOWF comes in. For more information about SOWF and their mission, visit www.specialops.org
