Amsterdam, 23 September 2024 — MY.GAMES, a leading European video game developer and publisher, announces its partnership with Dots.eco to launch sustainability-themed in-game events aimed at raising awareness about major global environmental issues. The events will take place in two of MY.GAMES’ popular titles, Global City and Storyngton Hall, starting from September 20th.

“In partnering with Dots.eco, our objective was to inspire players to engage with critical environmental issues through gameplay, helping them understand the impact of their choices and actions on the world around them. As a result, Storyngton Hall and Global City now feature unique in-game events and challenges that explore topics such as sustainability, conservation, and climate change. These elements are designed not only to entertain but also to educate, empowering players to consider how they can contribute to a more sustainable future in their everyday lives. We're excited to see how these additions will encourage our community to reflect on and explore the importance of caring for the environment,” said Anton Gorodetsky, Head of Industry Relations at MY.GAMES.

“We are thrilled about our collaboration with MY.GAMES in their two games: Storyngton Hall and Global City. Empowering players through eco-rewards has been proven to be an incredible way to raise awareness about pressing environmental challenges while boosting in-game KPIs. We are excited to see MY.GAMES's commitment to educating their players by merging the virtual and real worlds,” said Daniel Madrid, Co-founder and CGO at Dots.eco.

Global City: Saving the Ocean
From September 20th to October 4th, Global City players will take part in the Saving the Ocean event, where they will face environmental challenges by addressing the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems. Players will work to rescue a blue whale trapped in a floating plastic island, clean up coastlines, and promote the sustainable use of ocean resources. Those who rise to the challenge as responsible mayors will be rewarded with two exclusive avatars, a unique monument for their city’s residential areas, and a fully completed infrastructure project along the Global City coastline.

By purchasing a battle pass, Global City players will also support Plastic Fischer, an organization dedicated to preventing ocean plastic by removing waste from rivers, and SEE Turtles, which is committed to protecting turtle ecosystems around the world.

Global City is a high-tech city-building simulator known for its exceptional graphics and detailed urban landscapes. Players manage resource production, build advanced factories, and develop their metropolis by upgrading buildings and trading commodities. The game is available to play on Android and iOS.

Storyngton Hall: Season of Benevolence
From September 26th to October 17th, Storyngton Hall players will participate in the Season of Benevolence event, where they will help rescue a tiger cub that has been harmed by poachers. As part of this impact-driven event, players will create a safe and comfortable habitat for the cub, ensuring its recovery. By purchasing a battle pass, players will also contribute to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, which is actively working to protect tigers by funding conservation efforts in Assam, India.

Storyngton Hall is a match-3 home and garden design and renovation game for players who enjoy romance, engaging stories, and challenging puzzles. The game is available to play on Android and iOS.
