Mystopia is bringing Creative Mode to their DEMO ahead of the Steam Next Fest

August 12, 2024 — Indie developers Last Minute Studios has released a new DEMO of Mystopia, the cozy sandbox game inspired by witchcraft, now live on Steam. The update, titled "Steam Next Fest Update" introduces Creative mode, Oceania culture, Save states, and more.
 
Update Highlights:

Save States
Today, we're introducing save states: players can now have up to three different world saves in the DEMO. The full release will offer even more!

Creative Mode
When creating a new world, players will now be able to choose between two game modes: the regular experience or one with no limits! In Creative Mode, you can build the world of your dreams and add anything you want without limits. You can also create and use any potions you like - let your creativity run wild!

Oceania Culture
Oceania Culture brings a new grass type, water blocks, totems, new potion items, and more!

Unlocked rotations
You're no longer stuck with 90-degree camera angles in Mystopia—hold right-click and rotate smoothly.

UI Revamp
Main Menu and Collection Book UIs have been updated.


Game Overview

Discover blocks, craft potions, and build your own unique worlds. There are no goals, no stress, no limits - grab your favorite drink, and relax.

- Discover blocks from different cultures: The blocks in Mystopia are inspired by witchcraft from different cultures including Europe, Japan, China, Oceania & more. These blocks can be anything: a ground, a plant, a magic hat, a Gong, a Torii gate and many more!
- Design your dream worlds: Design your world the way you want. There is no wrong way. Take a screenshot of your world anytime and share it with just one click. Mystopia never ends; each world is a unique experience that always feels cozy.
- Craft and use potions for mystifying effects: Craft and use potions to make your world more unique. Each potion does something different - find them all! Mix items you discover in your world into the cauldron to explore all sorts of recipes.
- Express your creativity freely: Choose between two ways to play Mystopia—either slowly build your dream world by opening letters and discovering blocks in Letter Mode, or design your worlds without limits in Creative Mode.
- Track your progress: Track your progress through the Collection Book.
