NDL Hires Veteran Software Engineer and Industry Thought Leader David Eberly
Company Continues to Expand Technology Team to Meet Growing Demand for its GamebryoÒ 3D Graphics Engine and Tools

Emergent | CHAPEL HILL, N.C., (October 27, 2004) - NDL, the leading independent developer of 3D graphics technology for the computer and video game industry, today announced that David Eberly has rejoined the company's technology team. Eberly previously served as NDL's director of engineering and was instrumental in the development of the company's NetImmerse engine, the predecessor of Gamebryo. He left the company in 2000 to serve as president of Magic Software.
Eberly is an industry veteran and well known mathematician, particularly as it applies to physics and 3D graphics for video game design. He contributes regularly to conferences and message boards in the game development community and is the author of "Game Physics," "3D Game Engine Design," "3D Game Engine Architecture," and "Geometric Tools for Computer Graphics." In addition to his responsibilities with NDL, Eberly will continue his role as an editor for the book series from publisher Morgan Kaufman on Interactive 3D Technology. Eberly has a PhD in computer science from the University of North Carolina and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Colorado.
