TOKYO, Japan - January 14, 2025 - NetEase Games and Nitroplus Co., Ltd., announced today that Rusty Rabbit, an exciting new 2.5D side scroller, will launch on April 17, 2025 for PlayStation®5, PC (Steam®), and Nintendo Switch. In addition to the updated release timing, NetEase Games has also announced an update to the planned pricing of the game, which is now set at MSRP $19.99 /€19.99/ £15.99. The game will launch simultaneously across PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with pre-orders for PlayStation®5 and Nintendo Switch starting today.

Developed in collaboration between NetEase Games and visual novel company NITRO PLUS, Rusty Rabbit brings a personal story that delivers plenty of adventure and exploration along with “smash and dash” gameplay action. In Rusty Rabbit, players take control of Stamp, a rabbit living among the giant ruins of a frozen world abandoned by humanity. The original concept and screenplay for Rusty Rabbit was created by Gen Urobuchi, writer of famous anime series’ such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica and PSYCHO-PASS, as well as writer of the Godzilla animated movie trilogy which aired on Netflix.

Special Access Notes for Each Supported Platform
 

・   Customers who pre-order the PS5 version will receive early access to play the game from April 14, three days before release

・   For the Nintendo Switch, a packaged retail version will be sold (for Japan and Asia) in addition to the digital version

・   The PC (Steam®) version will come as a bundle with the soundtrack of the game. The music Was written by Busted Rose, a sound producer involved in a wide range of activities, including writing songs for the anime “Pop Team Epic,” various anime theme songs, background music, game songs, and providing music to artists

We will release a demo trial version that allows users to play the beginning of the story on all compatible platforms starting February 20th at 17:00 PST. Players will be able to transfer saved data to the final version of the game.

Thousands of years after humans left this planet, it was rabbits who inherited it…

Stamp, an old and eccentric rabbit living on a planet abandoned by humanity, spends his days piloting his trusty mech affectionately known as “Junkster”, collecting junk throughout the ruins of the frozen world and tinkering with machines. In a stroke of bad luck, Stamp crashes down into the world’s lower levels. There he finds D-TAM; terminals for storing information. Using D-TAM, he finds info related to his missing daughter and a hidden truth about the world they live in. Thus his journey begins, digging deeper into these ruins to unfold the mysteries surrounding this world.
