Guangzhou, China, July 5th, 2022 - NetEase Games will showcase its latest game ZOZ: Final Hour, a post-apocalyptic zombie-themed multiplayer shooter, in Brazil's Independent Games Festival (BIG Festival) from July 7th to July 10th. At the event, Brazilian game designer Heldslaiene Braian will share with players and guests the innovative gameplay of ZOZ and the localized planning and operation in Brazil, so that attendees can get to know ZOZ better.

BIG Festival is one of Latin America's most important games conferences, and this year's BIG Festival 2022 will take place simultaneously both online and offline. Over 200 specially selected games from all over the world will be featured at this year's conference, along with many more guests who will share their experiences and insights with everyone.

ZOZ's greatest highlight is in its gameplay innovation. Players will roleplay as mercenaries seeking "Blood Crystals" and entering the post-apocalyptic city of San Yager in 15 player matches. Not only do you have to fend off zombies, but you must also be wary of other human mercs lying in wait to rob you of your crystals. If you're knocked down, don't worry—just crawl your way into a Safehouse before your health reaches 0 to quickly restore health. The Safehouse is a human ceasefire zone where players can buy weapons and check the locations of other mercs. Be careful though—those mercs who don't heal up in time will turn into zombie mercs, destroy the Safehouse's power switch, and begin their bloodhunt! This is the main feature of the game: letting you turn from human to zombie and experience the primal exhilaration of pummeling enemies with your fists!

Players may have tried many similar games in the past, but ZOZ's graphics may still deliver a different experience. To create a realistic and immersive post-apocalyptic atmosphere, NetEase Games has built a bustling cityscape as players’ main battlefield, complete with hospitals, shopping malls, gardens, and even amusement parks. When these once-busy landmarks deteriorate into deserted wastelands where only zombies roam free, this vast contrasting landscape brings about a strong sense of immersion.

According to Braian's introduction, all of the game's localized content was almost completely created within Brazil to better suit the local culture, such as Portuguese translations and its relevant voiceovers. Brazil is LATAM's only Portuguese-speaking country, with the official language being Brazilian Portuguese. However, Brazilian Portuguese still differs greatly from Portuguese itself in terms of grammar and writing, and this has led many global game publishers having compromised their product localization due to a lack of understanding of the differences between the two languages.

Braian also emphasized that their initial and most important objective has always been to deliver a gameplay experience that is actually great fun to play. The ZOZ development team consisting of over 100 people has been dedicated to this vision for the last 3 years and hopes to bring to the table a very different kind of shooting game that lives up to this promise.

Fans of post-apocalyptic themed or TPS games, don't miss out on ZOZ: Final Hour, which is currently undergoing beta testing in Brazil and Indonesia (data will not be wiped), and just soft launched this summer. Development team would very much welcome feedback and suggestions for ZOZ from Brazilian players following BIG!
