Korean developer and publisher of the world-renowned MMORPG Black Desert Online, Pearl Abyss launched its special 10-year anniversary landing page globally today. Adventurers can check out Black Desert’s sweeping 10-year journey from day one to its latest update, including updates and milestones by years, infographics, screenshots, and more.

  Black Desert was first launched in Korea on December 17, 2014, and gathered many MMO-enthusiasts through impressive graphics, fast-paced combat filled with actions, and abundant in-game content.
Upon a successful launch in Korea, Pearl Abyss rapidly expanded its service to global regions, starting with Japan, followed by Russian speaking regions, North America, and Europe. Then, mainly Asia including Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macao, Türkiye and MENA (Middle East and North Africa), Thailand, and SEA (South East Asia). Black Desert has now garnered more than 38 million Adventurers across 256 countries and regions – and a total of 55 million across its other platforms.
    The special page enables Adventurers to nostalgically trip through history as they progressively scroll down and witness Black Desert’s history from the very beginning in visualized form.
At launch, Black Desert Online had only four classes. Now it has a total of 27 unique classes! They started out their journey at a small village, “Olvia,” but their adventure expanded with the gradual addition of other beautiful regions including the recent, highly praised expansion, Land of the Morning Light.  
A whole page shows off key milestones based on global data accumulated from the launch of Black Desert. For instance, the most globally favored class is Dark Knight, followed by Lahn, and Sorceress. The highest character level worldwide is an incredibly accomplished level 69.  
The page contains photos and videos taken from Black Desert’s numerous events over the past, namely last year’s highlight, Black Desert FESTA in Korea, 2022 VoA in Europe, and Adventurers’ Oasis in North America.
