SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - December 7, 2023 - Thirdverse, Inc., the leading development studio behind the popular 5v5 VR multiplayer hero shooter game X8, today announced that its latest major update is now live. X8 was initially released into Early Access in late May and fully launched to the public on November 9 as a free-to-play game in the Steam and Meta Quest stores, and has driven over 200,000 downloads to date.
Building on the success of its previous updates, this latest update is poised to elevate the 'X8' experience to even greater heights. With the inclusion of Map 5: Nautica, an XP Progression Recap, and Updates to the In-App Purchasing System, players can look forward to an enhanced gameplay experience in X8.
Key Features of this update:
New Map 5: Nautica, located in the Bermuda Triangle, is a mysteriously abandoned off-shore oil rig in the Bermuda Triangle with an odd history of mishaps and safety concerns. Board at your own risk!
XP Progression Recap: The XP progression system receives an overhaul, providing players with a more rewarding and streamlined path to mastery. Earn rewards, level up, and showcase your skills like never before.
In-App Purchasing System Updates: We've listened to our community's feedback and made important improvements to the in-app purchasing experience. Confirm your vault equipment after purchase and bid farewell to duplicate weapons, ensuring a smoother and more satisfying shopping experience.
