OSTRANAUTS PARTNERS WITH KITFOX GAMES TO REACH 1.0 NEXT YEAR

MONTREAL, SEPTEMBER 4th, 2024 -  As part of the Steam Space Exploration Fest, developer Blue Bottle Games are happy to announce their new publisher for their hardcore noir space sim Ostranauts. Kitfox Games will be helping them reach 1.0 launch, which is also now officially revealed as slated for next year in a new trailer that shows off the latest game improvements:

Blue Bottle Game’s founder Daniel Fedor had this to say about the collaboration with Kitfox and its lead, Tanya Short:

“Tanya has always been a trusted source of advice in my gamedev circles, so after Modern Wolf and Blue Bottle Games mutually agreed to end their collaboration on Ostranauts, I didn't hesitate to reach out to her at Kitfox. Plus, Kitfox's recent successes in publishing Dwarf Fortress and Caves of Qud reassured me that they ‘got’ the kind of system-heavy game we were trying to make.
  Having the Kitfox team in our corner means that marketing, launch strategy, influencer outreach, and other product management work is in capable hands, so we can focus more on the core development work of finishing the game.

That boost to our focus has already paid off, allowing us to do what needed to be done on our new ‘Across the System’ milestone that just went live on September 2, including:

- Enabling long range travel with a new torch drive, and navigational aids.
- Changing the ship's reactor to be more modular and customizable.
- Adding a whole new content ecosystem around Venus.
- Plus cargo hauling/trading, atmospheric flight, super-fast-forward, apartments, and more!”
