BRISTOL, UK (24th May 2022) Ndemic Creations celebrates the 10th anniversary of worldwide smash-hit Plague Inc.

It may have over 180 million players worldwide today but back on the 26th May 2012, Plague Inc. stealthily slipped on the Apple App Store with no fanfare whatsoever. A hobby project by a first time developer - the game immediately went ‘viral’ and achieved commercial and critical success. Since then, the game has gone from strength to strength, becoming one of the best selling mobile games ever. The game would go onto release on Android, PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and even as a physical boardgame.

James Vaughan, the founder of Ndemic Creations said:

"It’s crazy looking back on myself in 2012 - I’d never made a video game before, Plague Inc. was just a hobby.

Today, Plague Inc. is one of the best selling mobile games ever and it's been an amazing journey. I’m particularly proud of being invited to talk at the CDC, winning an award from the Queen and helping to support the World Health Organisation in 2020.
