Nine Dots Studio :

Quebec City, Quebec, Canada – August 22, 2024 – Nine Dots Studio warns about the imminent recruitment end for the closed playtest of its upcoming project Lost in Prayer. The studio behind Outward also shares a new dev diary focusing on the direction the game is taking and lifts the veil on the game mechanics players will encounter. Lost in Prayer will launch in PC Early Access Q1 2025, the closed playtest will take place on Steam from September 5 through September 17.

True to the roguelike core principles Lost in Prayer aims to offer a brutal yet rewarding experience. Players will scour treacherous environments, their every step a gamble with mortality. But survival isn't just about brute force. Cunning and resourcefulness are key. Players can utilize their surroundings, set traps, lure enemies into dangerous situations, and exploit weaknesses to overcome them in the most efficient way possible. Succeed in your encounters and you’ll be rewarded with precious loot increasing your chances of survival!

The core twist in Lost in Prayer lies in its progression system. In Lost In Prayer, anything that kills you becomes playable. The very enemies that vanquished you become playable for your next runs. Each character carries their unique skills and abilities, offering a diverse roster of characters as you delve deeper into the cycle of life and death.
