TOKYO – Aug. 8, 2024 – PLAYISM, Japan’s longest-running indie publisher known for bringing world-class games from independent developers to players around the globe, today announced the return of the PLAYISM Game Show on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024 at 4:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM CEST / 8:00 PM JST in English, Japanese, and Chinese on YouTube. Featuring never-before-seen world premieres, and in-depth looks at the publisher’s extensive games portfolio, the PLAYISM Game Show promises exclusive reveals and a wealth of exciting new updates from across the publisher’s games portfolio.
Games and updates revealed exclusively during the PLAYISM Game Show include:
Nitro Express: Unveiled exclusively during the showcase, this 2D side-view pixel-art action game developed by Grayfax Software features cute assault-weapon-wielding girls shooting up a storm in the streets of Japan!
Homura Hime: Fight against archdemons possessed by deviant emotions in this third person action game, developed by Crimson Dusk, featuring anime-styled visuals and intense 3D bullet hell gameplay.
Valkyrie of Phantasm: Control characters from the Touhou Project series in this shooting action game featuring high-speed aerial versus combat, developed by AREAZERO.
Outrider Mako: Take on the role of Mako on her quest to seek out and subsequently deliver her deliverables in this top-down view 2D action game developed by Asamado Games.
The Exit 8: Trapped in an endless underground passageway, observe your surroundings carefully to reach "The Exit 8" in this walking simulator developed by KOTAKE CREATE, inspired by Japanese underground passageways, liminal spaces and back rooms.

PLAYISM will bring many of their games to PAX West 2024 where attendees will have the opportunity to go hands-on with select titles from Thursday’s showcase, including world premieres and playable demos available for the first time, ever. Visit PLAYISM at PAX West in the North Hall - Booth #1103 from Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2, 2024 in the Seattle Convention Center to experience all-new demos from the publisher’s lineup, as well as receiving custom giveaways just for playing!
