POLYARIS, the exciting upcoming skiing survival game, is gearing up for its next major milestone as part of the Zero Carbon Quest Steam Featured Festival. This special event, running from December 9 – December 16, 2024, highlights games that have taken steps to track and disclose their carbon emissions during development—a first-of-its-kind initiative in the gaming world.
As part of POLYARIS's commitment to sustainability, we’re thrilled to be featured alongside a diverse lineup of over 20 titles, showcasing how developers can embrace carbon-conscious practices without sacrificing fun or gameplay. The Zero Carbon Quest is all about shining a light on the games that are actively contributing to a greener future—whether or not their stories have an eco theme.
What’s Next?
With the event fast approaching, we’ll also be running our second round of closed testing! This will be the perfect opportunity for players to give feedback on the latest updates to the game. We’ve been listening closely to all the feedback from our first playtest, and we can’t wait to share the improvements we’ve made to movement, skiing mechanics, and more.
