Dovetail Games :

Kent, U.K. 21 Nov. Rivet Games have updated their Fife Circle Line route Add-on this week to include an additional 5 miles of railway, following the real-life reopening of the Levenmouth Rail Link which branches off the main line from Glenrothes with Thornton.

This stretch of rail last saw passenger traffic in 1969 but was worked on and reopened by ScotRail in June of this year, with two stations at Cameron Bridge and Leven now back on the map and serving their local communities.

Following the release of the Fife Circle Line route as an Add-on for Train Sim World 4, which included the iconic Forth Bridge and Edinburgh Waverley Station, developer Rivet Games signalled their intention to include the branch line in a future update. The update, released this week, features the additional 5 miles of track, 2 stations, 40+ additional timetabled services and the inclusion of Loki the Dog at Leven Station. The ScotRail Class 170 also now features the brand-new Conductor Mode, which was introduced as a new feature on the latest routes in Train Sim World 5.

The update is free to all players who own both Train Sim World 5 and the original Fife Circle Line Add-on. Players with Train Sim World 4 and the Add-on can still get the update for free by upgrading to Train Sim World 5 via the Free Starter Pack, which is available until early 2025.

A special Levenmouth Rail Link livery for the separate Class 158 Add-on is being worked on by Skyhook Games as part of a future update.

Train Sim World 5: Fife Circle Line & Levenmouth Rail Link Add-on route Add-on is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for £29.99/€35.99/$39.99
