Robot Trivia Funtime Released on Linux

New Zealand, MAY 26, 2024   –   Indie developer Silicon Kiwi has released a Linux version of Robot Trivia Funtime, a multiplayer trivia game for PC. It is the second platform to be supported, since originally being released for Windows. The release of this build introduces support for cross-platform multiplayer.

Previously, Silicon Kiwi expressed interest in providing a version for Ubuntu on Steam.

“We're joining the growing number of indies who want to support Linux gaming and understand the importance of offering native support.”

Released to Steam early access this month, Robot Trivia Funtime is a trivia quiz game designed for PC multiplayer, with customization and Steam Workshop support. It supports up to 6 players and includes optional AI bots to play against.

One unique aspect of Robot Trivia Funtime is an included question editor tool, allowing players to create question packs, share them with other players on the Steam Workshop, and customize their quizzes as they please.

In a recent IndieDB article, Silicon Kiwi outlined a mission to introduce a multiplayer trivia game for PC that is customizable and not bound by DLC.

“We want Robot Trivia Funtime to have a little extra something to it. The goal is to make a better trivia game, and hopefully we're doing just that.”
