ABOUT ROGUE COMMAND
Rogue Command is first and foremost a classic RTS game. Control your units, build your base, harvest resources, explore the map, defend positions and come up with a plan of attack. But instead of learning your build orders by heart, every time you start a run you are faced with the challenge of coming up with a new build.
After each battle, you choose from blueprint cards, adding new buildings to your arsenal.
Unit factories, defensive turrets, healing spires or super weapons - every choice shapes your build. Acquire orbital Drops that can shift the tides of battle. Add upgrades to your blueprints to broaden their abilities and enable powerful and surprising combos.
Shape the game to how you want to play, by unlocking new Engineers, economic Buildings and powerful Specialists to start your next run with. The different combinations will change the foundation of your builds in wildly different ways, allowing you to find your favorite line-up to face the tougher adversaries.
Lure the enemy into fog that slows them to a crawl or stun them by blowing up static bushes. Launch surprise attacks in the shroud of a sandstorm or wait for a rainstorm to tackle powerful enemies reliant on burning damage. The procedurally generated maps will keep you adapting your choices.
Discover chests with power-ups. Uncover ruins with hidden technologies that might be the key to victory… or full of unwanted surprises.
Continue to discover new builds as you unlock new units, buildings and modifiers. A first win is only the start — Keep pushing through unlocked difficulty iterations to make your way to the final challenge, facing unique Bosses along the way.
ABOUT FENEQ
Martin and Mario were two nerds in the business of making mobile games a market they were more and more fed up with being part of. After working together almost 10 years, they decided to plunge in and take the risk to develop something else. Something completely their own. They often talked about their love for the classic RTS games and shared a healthy obsession with Slay the Spire at the time, so the idea to make a roguelike RTS was born. A game that would feel like the RTS they love and give you the thrill of a brutal roguelike.
The idea was very ambitious especially for a first ever game of anywhere near that scope. Hard lessons had to be learned, pandemics had to be endured, children were born and loved ones got sick. At points it seemed very hard to imagine the game would ever get done or would shape up to be even close to how amazing it could be.
After 5 tumultuous years that game - Rogue Command - is almost done and ready to lay waste to the idea that RTS is a dead genre. It’s been completely built and distributed by the dev duo and has gotten amazing feedback from former StarCraft pros and people new to the genre alike.
