Save Stating Platformer Super Puzzled Cat coming in January

USA - October 1, 2024 | Penguin Mug Games have announced their 2D puzzle platformer Super Puzzled Cat is coming to Steam in January 2025.


Super Puzzled Cat is a platformer that allows you to use save states at will, allowing you to experiment with different pathways and strategies without losing progress. Help Puzzled Cat use jetpacks, portals, bombs, gum, and more to conquer treacherous platforming stages.


Developer SP has been gradually developing Super Puzzled Cat for the past nine years and is so excited (and nervous) with the release being only a few short months away.


"I've wanted to make games from way back, playing SNES games as a kid," SP said, "Playing games like Final Fantasy 6 and Super Mario World weren't just fun for the gameplay themselves, I remember looking at the carts and really wanting to do it all myself.


"I created the first prototype [for Super Puzzled Cat] in two weeks and knew it was great, I made about 90 levels and the core systems in this time, like the save states, the replay system, and so on. I thought it would take six months, and nine years later, we have a game! A lot of that is because I've still been working full time - none of us were ever full time on this project, so it became this thing we built up slowly on the side, adding all the crazy thoughts we've had to it over years and years."


Super Puzzled Cat is launching on PC (via Steam) in January 2025. An exact date will be announced closer to the month. To keep up to date, be sure to follow the developer on X and chat with the developer by joining their Discord.
